The company was founded as a smithy by Ivar Kjaergaard in 1923 and was taken over by his son Kristian Kjaergaard in 1965. In the middle of 1997 Ejner Lindblad took over the company as part of a generational change. Since the foundation in 1923 Kjaergaard Maskinfabrik has been situated in the small town Hoven in West Jutland.
From being a smithy and a repair shop primarily serving agriculture the company has since developed into a manufacturer of special equipment and pumps for fish farms, agriculture and industry. Kjaergaard Maskinfabrik has always been well-known for high quality and great know how of the construction of pumps.
In a modern fish farm operational safety and working environment are crucial which makes high demands on the production equipment. This is why all products are tested before the leave Kjaergaard Maskinfabrik. Today the company is also represented abroad i.e. in Norway and Chile where sales are handled by competent dealers.
Production takes place in a 400 square metre production area with appropriate ceiling height. The production machinery consists of a versatile machine park which enables us to perform almost every work function on our products ourselves without the use of sub-suppliers.
